Feather & Bone is an inventive, fresh and unique personal care company. They are dedicated to the creation of fresh product solutions. Uniquely for YOU. At Feather & Bone their goal and mission is for men and women to feel empowered by who they are as individuals and embrace their inner weird and authenticity. Their products help bring back the authentic you.

The products are all made with 100% natural ingredients and they have just launched their first product which is a face wash made up of only 3 ingredients. The face wash comes in a tablet form known as Face Gems and once added to water it becomes a paste which can then be applied to the skin. The Face Gems are made up of only 3 key ingredients:

An antiseptic agent which gives a natural glow, removes dirt from pores, is anti-aging and relaxes the face.

Fuller’s Earth: Exfoliator

Removes black heads and white heads, tones the skin, has a soothing effect and gives natural oils to the skin.

Starch: Moisturiser

Natural moisturiser for oily and dry skins which relieves itchy skin, keeps skin fresh, removes dead skin and cools the face.

The 3 ingredients combined together fully cleanses, tones, soothes and moisturises the skin without using any harsh or unwanted chemicals. It is great for problematic skin prone to acne and/or dry skin conditions. With the ingredients being natural it doesn’t irritate any current skin problems and will suit all skin types whether dry/oily.

The instructions for the Face Gems were very simple to follow and consisted solely of adding 5-10 drops of water to 1 Face Gem in the palm of your hand, and then rubbing in to the face before washing it off. I personally felt it needed a few more drops as it didn’t seem enough for my entire face so I needed to make it a little thinner. Once I got it to the desired consistency I rubbed it in to my skin. The smell was very earthy and reminded me a little of the smell of pine needles but wasn’t strong or unpleasant. It looked a little strange and wasn’t the most attractive looking paste however this wasn’t of course important. I took a few photos of me with the paste on my face and as you can see it wasn’t very dark in colour, as I took photos I felt it drying quite quickly and actually started to harden like a mud mask. So I washed it off and it was easy enough to get all of the product off my skin. Upon first washing it off I noticed my skin felt very clean and looked hydrated. However it was actually the following morning that I really did notice the difference it had made. My skin looked so refreshed and was very soft. It had a healthy glow about it and I really did enjoy wearing no make up all day. I really think that my skin loved using a natural mix on my face compared to the fancy branded face wash I normally use. It was so kind to my very sensitive skin and didn’t sting, or hurt in any way.

After trying the product I have to say I really did like it and would urge anyone with sensitive skin to try it. If you are in to your natural products then this is definitely one to buy!
