I Am Now a Home-Owner
If you have been following my recent posts you may have noticed that I keep mentioning that I have just bought a new home and just moved recently. This isn’t our first home but the first one we have bought and we are now homeowners (eeek!). We rented for 4 years and it was only when we worked out that we had paid roughly £30,000 in rent for those past 4 years and we were getting nothing back in return that we looked in to the whole buying option. We weren’t working towards anything just keep paying rent. That money didn’t pay off a house that would be ours, it just…

Christmas Time and New Year – Looking Back
It took me quite a while to find the time to write this post. The Christmas period was such a busy time and I just never got round to doing it. So in April, I am looking back over photos and remembering the great times we had and how this Christmas was my son’s first proper Christmas! He is 2 years old and technically it is his 3rd Christmas however it was the first one that he got excited about and kind of understood some of what was happening. It was the first one that he could properly open his presents and the first Christmas that he could talk to Santa. Anyone…

I am not ready for Nursery..
My little guy turned 2 on Halloween and I know that now is the time to start looking in to Nurseries for him. I haven’t a clue what I am doing but after a lot of research and speaking to other parents I knew I needed to get on the case now and start looking around. I never expected it to be so difficult and in my mind he would just be going to the local one near to our house where we have recently moved. It never really crossed my mind about having an option of where he went. I didn’t even know there were many other Nurseries near…

Have Fun With The Kids This Easter Holiday Without Spending A Fortune
So I did a post last year on things to do in the Summer holidays and thought, why not do another one for Easter. The holidays for kids are a time for fun, for parents however it can mean expensive trips out to keep them entertained and it can be hard to think of lots of things to do. The top attractions can be far too expensive and aside from your local freebies/cheap days out such as parks, museums and farms it really can be difficult to come up with other ideas. I have put together a list of fun things that should be available to most people depending on where they…

Creamy Thai Red Pepper Soup – Recipe
I have been eating terribly since before Christmas and just can’t seem to shake the bad habits. I was doing so well before then and keep trying but it doesn’t last long before I am back to eating rubbish again. I have started a body transformation thing which is hard work but it has really kicked my butt and I am really trying with my diet and trying to find ways to make it enjoyable so I stick to it. I decided to do a big shop at LIDL and stay away from the bigger stores with more to tempt me and went and got loads of veg and chicken…

Filming for Dream Finder
Dream Finder is a fantasy/action feature film in pre-production based on the Novel written by Roger Taylor. It is part of a much bigger story as Dream Finder is in essence a sequel to the 5 book series, The Chronicles of Hawklan. The story of Dream Finder is how a man at rock bottom changed his fortunes by battling not only a malevolant blindman but his own demons too. Read the full synopsis on the Dream Finder website here. My character is called Lady Yanys and to put it simply, I am the wife of a Prince named Arwain who is played by the very talented Craig Edwards. Prince Arwain and Lady Yanys are…
