My Mum Absolutely Rocked Turning 50!
Last month it was my mum’s 50th birthday and to say she celebrated in style would be an understatement. For a lot of people, turning 50 can be quite, well, depressing. Being older isn’t exactly what all of us want to happen after a certain age, even at 25 I wish my birthday’s didn’t come so quickly! My mum however, embraced turning 50 years young and she fully milked her big birthday as much as possible and why the hell not! Her birthday seemed to go on for weeks and started days before her actual birthday too. She was a popular lady and lots of people had plans of what…

I Am Now a Home-Owner
If you have been following my recent posts you may have noticed that I keep mentioning that I have just bought a new home and just moved recently. This isn’t our first home but the first one we have bought and we are now homeowners (eeek!). We rented for 4 years and it was only when we worked out that we had paid roughly £30,000 in rent for those past 4 years and we were getting nothing back in return that we looked in to the whole buying option. We weren’t working towards anything just keep paying rent. That money didn’t pay off a house that would be ours, it just…

Christmas Time and New Year – Looking Back
It took me quite a while to find the time to write this post. The Christmas period was such a busy time and I just never got round to doing it. So in April, I am looking back over photos and remembering the great times we had and how this Christmas was my son’s first proper Christmas! He is 2 years old and technically it is his 3rd Christmas however it was the first one that he got excited about and kind of understood some of what was happening. It was the first one that he could properly open his presents and the first Christmas that he could talk to Santa. Anyone…

I am not ready for Nursery..
My little guy turned 2 on Halloween and I know that now is the time to start looking in to Nurseries for him. I haven’t a clue what I am doing but after a lot of research and speaking to other parents I knew I needed to get on the case now and start looking around. I never expected it to be so difficult and in my mind he would just be going to the local one near to our house where we have recently moved. It never really crossed my mind about having an option of where he went. I didn’t even know there were many other Nurseries near…
