Pumpkin Carving!
We haven’t really bothered with buying pumpkins for quite a few years now and especially since having our little Halloween baby. Celebrating our little ones birthday and Halloween at the same time is just too much hard work and also confusing for him. This year however he seemed to start understanding what Halloween was and was excited for both his Birthday and Halloween as well. I just had to get him a pumpkin as he had never actually had one before and I felt he was at the right age to have his first one. Plus he knew what a pumpkin was from watching the halloween/spooky episodes of Paw Patrol…

Scream Factory – Review
I am a big fan of Halloween however since having my son 3 years ago we no longer really celebrate it or do anything Halloween-ish because he was born on that day. Now the 31st October is just our son’s birthday to us and we want to keep it that way until he tells me he no longer wants a party and just wants to go trick or treating with friends…yes the thought already makes me want to cry. I always see photos of people dressed up and going to parties and although I am more than happy to be dedicating my full time to my little one at this…

Le Raaj Indian Cuisine – Sedgefield Review
I was offered the opportunity to try out a restaurant fairly local to me in Sedgefield, County Durham called Le Raaj. The restaurant serves traditional Indian cuisine and is located just off the A177. I am not a huge curry fan but the Mr certainly is so I decided to try it for him and because we are always looking for new places to go for meals. To be honest the main reason I am not a huge fan of curries/Indian food is purely due to my own ignorance. I don’t like really spicy food so because Indian food uses a lot of spices I just have it in my…

Zapatista Burrito Bar Review
I have recently started reviewing local restaurants on my blog (many of which have branches in other areas). It’s not that I didn’t review them before it’s just that I didn’t have much time originally to actually go out and try the food. I am now however really enjoying the opportunity of trying new places and I love food so it is the perfect thing for me to review on here. Plus we all love a good photo of yummy food creations. I was invited to try Zapatista Burrito Bar in Newcastle, which I had never actually been to before. There are actually two branches in Newcastle and I was…

6 Top Kitchen Must-Haves for Autumn!
With me buying my first home last year I am still trying to add bits here and there to make it exactly how I want it. I do end up buying things unnecessarily and impulse buy, so I decided to focus on one room at a time and do a bit of research first. I am focusing on the kitchen right now and I am sharing with you the must have items I have discovered for Autumn. I scoured the internet for some of the weird and wonderful creations out there, making life that little bit easier in the kitchen. I am a terrible cook so I do rely a lot on…

Off to the Palace We Go!
End of last year my mum found out that she was being awarded an OBE which she announced proudly at midnight at a big New Years party she had at her home. Obviously she was absolutely over the moon, in shock and humbled to be put up for such an award in the first place never mind actually being awarded it. Not only was it exciting that she was getting an OBE but the fact that it meant herself, my dad, my brother our grandparents and I all got to go to Buckingham Palace for the ceremony was obviously doubly exciting. It also meant a trip to London was in order…
