Celebrating New Years Eve In Style
Some of you may have seen my brief live video of me on New Years eve. You may be thinking I have gone mad after seeing that video but it was actually a brilliant night! Normally I don’t do much for New Years Eve and my parents usually have a big party at theirs with lots of alcohol and food. With having Reid now and him being at a fun age we wanted to do something he would enjoy too. After having his 3rd Birthday party at Planet Leisure end of October, we absolutely loved the place and were excited to find out about their New Years party. The tickets…

Our Beautiful Save The Dates!
Lots of people think save the dates are unnecessary with sending out invitations for the Wedding. I tend to agree if you can send the invites out in enough time but sometimes they are a good idea to buy you a bit more time. We got engaged in September 2016 and we booked our wedding for summer (during the summer hols) in 2017. That means we already had less than a year to start planning the wedding. As soon as we sorted our venue and date, I decided letting people know as soon as possible before they book holidays was a good idea. We couldn’t send out invites yet as…

A Super Cool Groomsman Proposal
So, I wanted to do something a bit special to ask my Groomsmen if they’d be a part of the wedding. I’d seen something like this before whether it be a bottle of whiskey or some kind of token of appreciation. I really liked the idea of having their names engraved on a hip flask. My reasons for this were twofold; one because it’s a nice reminder of the day, having their name, title and date of the wedding on it. And two, because now that I went to the expense of having their names engraved into something, it would make it really difficult for them to say no. They…

Our Engagement Party!!!
I have finally managed to get round to uploading all of the photos from our engagement party! It has been a busy few months since we got engaged in September and it’s already coming up to Christmas!! We managed to fit in our engagement party however and it really was such a lovely occasion. We ended up having two parties in one day which was fun and exhausting to say the least! We struggled to find something that suited everyone as we had to think about family (mine live Durham way and Sie’s are in Newcastle), we had to think about kids and also work around friends. A lot of…

My Top 8 Christmas Decor Hacks
Whilst I do get very excited about the idea of putting up my Christmas decorations, the reality of actually doing it isn’t always as fun. From spending what seems like forever getting everything out of the loft to spending 30+ mins sat sorting out the Christmas tree branches on our artificial tree. Add our now 3 year old in to the mix and putting up our decorations can very quickly go from festive fun to a Christmas catastrophe. There are some things that I do find help make life easier – my décor hacks and whilst some may be very obvious I am going to share my secrets with…

Elf’s Christmas Wish – Gala Theatre
I was offered the opportunity to attend a Christmas show at the Gala Theatre today with my little man called Elf’s Christmas Wish. It is a charming and interactive introduction to theatre which engages the senses and inspires the imagination. It includes original music, movement and puppets and the simple storytelling is perfect for the under 5s to enjoy with their families at Christmas time. I decided that it sounded like a lovely thing to take my 3 year old to and that it would be good to prepare him for when he goes to see a pantomime later this month. The show was in the studio upstairs in the Gala theatre which…
