BabyDan Configure Gate
The layout of our house means that we have have an open stairway in our living room. This looks great and is typical in a lot of modern houses however is not exactly practical with a baby/toddler. My son like a lot of children went through a phase of constantly climbing up the stairs. He thought it was funny every time we came and got him and said no. There was a time when I don’t think I could sit down longer than 2 minutes before I had to get up again and get him off the second step. Although this was tiring, it never really became a problem…

Oxfam Boutique – Durham
Oxfam Boutique – 18 Elvet Bridge, Durham, DH1 3AD I have always lived in County Durham up until a few years ago when I met my partner and moved to Newcatle with him for a few years. I recently moved back to Durham at the end of last year with my partner and our son and although I used to spend almost every day in the centre, it feels like a brand new city again! So much has actually changed and I feel like I have had very little time since moving to have a good look around. So in saying that I decided to google the shops in the…

GAYA Make-up review – Mineral Foundation and Gel Eye-liner
I was offered the chance to try a new brand of mineral make-up called GAYA and I was very excited as I am a huge mineral make-up fan. Mineral Foundation (colour MF1) – £24.99 As mentioned previously, I am already a huge fan of mineral makeup and usually use the same foundation every time. I tried this foundation for the first time and I have to say I thought it was fantastic. My favourite thing…

Style Heist clothing- Review
I was very excited to find that I had won a twitter competition for a fab clothing company called Style Heist. The prize was a £25 voucher to spend on their site and on their fashionable clothing. Although I do get to review some brilliant products, I am not usually one for winning competitions for things I really want! So of course this was a great surprise and definitely came in handy for ordering something new to wear for Valentine’s day. I am terrible at making decisions and it actually took me about 3 days just to choose what I wanted! My poor boyfriend was sick to death of…

Minor Ailments service
Just recently I had heard about something called Minor Ailments service (which apparently has been around for a while but was not allowed to be advertised). For those of you who don’t know, this service allows those that are exempt from paying for prescriptions such as children, pregnant women and so on to obtain a range of ‘minor ailements’ free of charge, without having to see a doctor first, on the NHS. See photo above for list of things the minor ailements includes. The one thing that got me very excited (sadly) being a mum was free paracetamol for my little one! Other parents will know that buying calpol for…
